Dr. Savage is a pediatric pharmacoepidemiologist and faculty member at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a pediatric infectious diseases physician at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His research centers on two themes: the first is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of antimicrobials to treat frequently encountered infections in the outpatient setting, and the second is to evaluate causal inference methods to determine the most robust approach to study design in pediatric pharmacoepidemiology. His NIH funded research has been published in Pediatrics, JAMA Dermatology, and Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety. He loves to mentor trainees and work collaboratively with colleagues both near and far. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and two daughters, going for runs with his dog Moose, and surfing (when it isn’t too frigid).
