Sophie Bots, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Pharmacoepidemiology and Clinical Pharmacology group from Utrecht University, the Netherlands. Her work focusses on the application of clever study designs and statistical methods to reduce uncertainty in real-world data-based research. The last two years, she has worked on methods to reduce and/or identify unmeasured confounding within COVID-19 vaccine safety studies.
