Xiaofeng Zhou is Senior Director, Quantitative Epidemiology and Analytic Team Lead in Global Medical Epidemiology (GME), Pfizer. In this role, Xiaofeng has been leading GME quantitative epidemiologists and analysts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish a robust regulatory-grade data analysis capability that enables medical epidemiological and effectiveness studies that generate RWE. Xiaofeng has over 25 years of professional experience at Pfizer and Warner-Lambert focusing on analytics using real world data (RWD) as well as clinical trial data. She has been primarily responsible for design, execution, and delivery of epidemiological and statistical data analyses and database studies using RWD for regulatory submissions and responses, and clinical teams’ needs. Xiaofeng has led multiple innovative methodological research projects using RWD to help shape Pfizer’s assent as industry leader in the field of active drug safety surveillance research. She was the chair of database SIG, International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology and Risk Management. Xiaofeng holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, dual MS in Statistics and Applied Economics from Virginia Tech, and a MS in Food and Nutrition Planning from University of Philippines.
