Eva-Lisa Meldau is a senior data scientist at Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) in Uppsala, Sweden – an independent, non-profit foundation supporting the WHO Programme for International Drug Monitoring. For the past six years, Eva-Lisa's work included work on medication error detection, mixture-model-based cluster analysis of adverse event reports and natural language processing for pharmacovigilance. She holds a master’s degree in computer science from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Eva-Lisa is passionate about the application of machine learning and deep neural networks to problems in the field of pharmacovigilance.
