I am a pharmacist (PharmD) and researcher in pharmacoepidemiology (PhD). I grew up in Auvergne, a central region of France, where I attended pharmacy school. Passionate about epidemiology, pharmacology and pharmacy, I combined these interests by completing a pharmacy residency with an emphasis on research at the Bordeaux University Hospital. I did a PhD in pharmacoepidemiology at the University of Bordeaux for which I focused on understanding the characteristics and risks of polypharmacy using the national French healthcare claims data (SNDS: Système National des Données de Santé). Enthusiastic to discover new data, I spent a year at Yale in the Veteran Aging Cohort Study (VACS) group as a Fulbright scholar where I studied polypharmacy in US veterans. After my Fulbright, I worked for 3 years at the Bordeaux University hospital doing research in prevention and epidemiology while pursuing the collaboration with the VACS group.
