I am a geriatric pharmacoepidemiologist and am interested in understanding medication utilization, safety, and effectiveness among the older population, especially patients with pain, neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., ADRD), or living in nursing homes. My recent research works funded by US federal government focus on evaluating pain management and opioid prescribing in older adults by using large datasets, including Medicare claims and assessment data, such as the Nursing Home Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments.
