Janinne Ortega-Montiel, MD, MSc, DSc in Epidemiology, is a Scientific Development Coordinator and Data Analyst at the Carlos Slim Foundation and a Future Research Specialist for the Program on the Pharmacoepidemiology of Metabolic Diseases at the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology of Brigham Woman's Hospital. Her primary clinical areas of interest include the pharmacoepidemiology of diabetes, hypertension and treatment evaluation with antidiabetic, antihypertensive, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Her work focuses on gestational diabetes mellitus, diagnosis, classification, and therapeutic management. She earned a Master's degree and a doctorate in Science in Epidemiology at the National Institute of Public Health in Mexico.
