Dr. Yuan is a physician by training and a trained epidemiologist. He has about 10 years of experience in Academic research and more than 20 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Research and Development, with more than 70 publications in peer reviewed journals.
As a Senior Director, he currently works in the Department of Epidemiology, Janssen Research & Development, LLC., providing support to the product development and post-marketing studies in the area of cardiovascular/metabolism.
Dr. Yuan has also provided extensive support in the benefit-risk (B-R) analyses using a structured and quantitative approach for the rivaroxaban development program and previously served as a working group member in PhRMA and IMI PREFER for B-R assessment.
