Jennifer Lund, PhD is Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and the Director of Data Strategy and Education for the Cancer Information and Population Health Resource within the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is a Fellow of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE) and currently serves on the ISPE Board of Directors. Dr. Lund conducts pharmacoepidemiologic and comparative effectiveness research with applications to older adults and those affected by cancer. Funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, the National Institutes on Aging, and the National Cancer Institute, her research program aims to generate robust evidence on the uses, benefits, and harms of medical interventions that will inform decisions made by patients, their caregivers, healthcare providers, and policymakers. Together with a team of pre- and post-doctoral trainees and collaborators, Dr. Lund uses clinical trials, disease registries, administrative databases, population-based surveys, electronic health records, and advanced epidemiologic methods to conduct research investigating: (1) the delivery of high-quality care and (2) the effectiveness and safety of relevant medical interventions, resulting in >160 peer-reviewed publications.
