Karen Wells is a staff member of Epidemiology and Drug Safety at IQVIA. Ms. Wells has been in the field of pharmacoepidemiology and drug safety for over 25 years. Before joining IQVIA in 2017, Ms. Wells spent the majority of her career working for the Department of Public Health Sciences at the Henry Ford Health System where her role focused primarily on the use of health care claims and EMR-based sources of data for retrospective studies in pharmacoepidemiology. Ms. Wells’ has experience in several therapeutic areas including asthma, diabetes, heart failure, COPD, and oncology. Ms. Wells graduated from Wayne State University with a Master of Public Health. She has been an active member of the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology since 2009.
