Since Aziza Jamal-Allial joined Carelon Research in 2016, Aziza has led several post-market requirements and post-authorization safety studies investigating drug safety during pregnancy and its impact on pregnancy outcomes and congenital malformations. In this capacity, she develops and executes study protocols and facilitates communication with study sponsors and collaborators. Dr. Jamal-Allial leverages her vast data experience in algorithm development, data management, performing analysis, dissemination, and reporting study results. Dr. Jamal-allial leverages her immense knowledge to develop claims-based algorithms to improve pregnancy ascertainment and outcome classification. She has experience in pregnancy safety and infant outcomes, drug safety, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, blood disorders, nutrition, and medical device.
Prior to joining Carelon Research, Dr. Jamal-Allial served as a consultant of study design and biostatistics at Bouvé College of Health Sciences School of Nursing, one of the most distinguished schools within Northeastern University, where she currently holds an adjunct professor position and has taught several graduate-level courses in epidemiology and biostatistics.
Dr. Jamal-Allial holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Pharmaceutical Science with a focus on epidemiology and biostatistics from Northeastern University, a Master of Science in Nutritional Epidemiology from Tufts University, a Master of Science in Nutritional Science with a minor in biostatistics from the University of Missouri, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in education from the University of Umm Al-Qura in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
