Dr. Kazeem Adeola Oshikoya is a physician-scientist and currently an Associate Professor in Clinical Pediatric Pharmacology at the Department of Pharmacology, Therapeutics and Toxicology, Lagos State University College of Medicine, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. He had his undergraduate medical education at the University of Lagos (1996), Master in pharmacology at University of Lagos (2000), PhD in Pediatric Pharmacology at the University of Nottingham (2014) and Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Vanderbilt University (2017). His research focuses are complementary and alternative medicines (CAMs), pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance, drug metabolism and pharmacogenomics in children and, over the years, has published extensively in many high impact peer reviewed international and local scientific journals. He has over 70 publications to his credit, spanning the field of core pediatrics, medical education in pharmacology, CAMs, pharmacoepidemiology, drug metabolism and pharmacogenomics. He has won several awards and he is a member of several associations and learned societies, both at home and abroad. He won the Therapeutic Editor Fellowship Training in 2014, sponsored by the Therapeutic Guidelines in Melbourne, Australia, which enabled him to contribute to the revised 2014 edition of the guidelines for antifungal treatment in HIV/AIDS patients.
