Senior Consultant Epidemiologist

Rafia Bosan is a Senior Consultant on the Epidemiology and Drug Safety team at IQVIA. She completed her Master of Science degree in Epidemiology at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. She is an immunologist-turned-epidemiologist with past work focusing on use of large datasets to design epidemiologic studies related to vaccines/anti-infectives, oncology, inflammatory diseases, rare diseases and other therapeutic areas.​ She has experience with a variety of real-world data sources such as claims databases, electronic health records, medical chart review, and surveys. She has a strong interest in the design of pharmacoepidemiologic studies on many types of studies including drug utilization studies, post-authorization safety studies, and comparative effectiveness studies using unique designs such as external comparator arms.
