Dr. Phyo Than Htoo, MD, PhD, is a post-doctoral research fellow in pharmacoepidemiology of cardiometabolic diseases at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He is a primary care physician by training with a doctorate in pharmacoepidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research work is currently supported by a research grant from the American Association of Diabetes and mainly focuses on evaluating post-marketing safety, effectiveness, cost, and healthcare utilization of therapeutics in older adults with type 2 diabetes using electronic healthcare data.
