Graduate Student
Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics, University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy
I am a fourth-year PhD candidate at the University of Pittsburgh, working under the guidance of Dr. Inmaculada (Inma) Hernandez. My research interests center on evaluating pharmaceutical outcomes using real-world evidence. My dissertation examines explicitly the nephrotoxic drug use in patients with Type 2 Diabetes who are under the treatment of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors. I have experience applying various study designs and statistical methods to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of medications, including oral anticoagulants and antidiabetic medications. In addition to my research, I have extensive experience conducting analyses and manipulating large datasets using SAS and Stata.
