Liza B. Murrison, PhD, MPH (she/her/hers)

Associate Director of Epidemiology
AbbVie Inc.

Liza Bronner Murrison, PhD, MPH is an Director of Global Epidemiology at AbbVie. She has over 15 years of experience in the design and execution of clinical and observational epidemiologic research in biopharma industry, academia, and CDC settings. In her current role, Liza applies pharmacoepidemiology practices to develop real-world evidence solutions in support of asset strategy and cross-functional initiatives.

Before joining AbbVie in 2021, Liza worked at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and University of Cincinnati as an Assistant Professor in virology, global health, and asthma research, and as a Senior Research Associate at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in global TB and HIV research in Atlanta, GA. Liza received her PhD from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg University in infectious disease epidemiology, MPH from Emory University in global epidemiology, and BS in genetics from the University of Georgia. Liza is currently based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
