Former Chief Scientific Officer, IQVIA
Dreyer Strategies LLC
Newton, United States
I hold an academic position as Adjunct Professor of Epidemiology at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I recently retired from full-time employment as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Scientific Officer, IQVIA Real World Solutions, specializing in using real-world data to better understand medication benefits and risks and to characterize those who are at high-risk. Prior to that, I held SVP roles at a major global clinical research organization and at a tech firm focusing on primary data collection from clinicians and patients for patient registries. I had the priviledge of running a community-based study of COVIDS-19, where I learned a lot about direct-to-patient studies (see www.helpstopCOVID19.com). My work on quality and using real-world evidence to support decision-making has been cited by the US Food and Drug Administration, European Medicines Agency, and China’s National Medical Products Administration (see www.dreyerstrategies.com).
