Yan Li is a senior epidemiologist in the Office of Surveillance and Epidemiology, Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In this role, he provides epidemiology expertise and assistance in the scientific review of new drug and biologic applications, especially in review issues concerning real-world evidence and drug safety. He has over 10 years of experience in conducting population-based observational studies using large healthcare databases.
Outside FDA, Dr. Li serves as an adjunct instructional assistant professor for the University of Florida, where he teaches the course Introduction to Pharmacoepidemiology. Dr. Li received his Ph.D. in pharmacoepidemiology from the University of Florida, preceded by pharmacy degrees from Peking University in China.
