Matthew is an experienced clinical pharmacist from the UK. In support of his professional development, he has spent the last three years undertaking a PhD in pharmacoepidemiology at University College London (UCL). Matthew uses his clinical experience and research skills to leverage real-world data from large electronic health records to evaluate the safe and effective use of medicines in large populations. His primary interests are in the link between heart and brain disease, using his research to investigate if cardiovascular medicines can be repurposed to prevent neurodegenerative disease.
