Tainya C. Clarke, PhD MPH MSc is an epidemiologist and health statistician at FDA's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. She manages pharmacoepidemiology research projects and helps guide regulatory surveillance activities in the Office of Biostatistics and Pharmacovigilance to assure the safety and effectiveness of biologic products including vaccines, blood and blood products, tissues, and advanced therapeutics. Dr. Clarke worked at CDC's National Center for Health statistics (2012-2021) as an epidemiologist and health statistician. Prior to that she worked at Mt Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach, FL (2003-2012) conducting pulmonary research. Dr Clarke earned her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2013. She also holds a Master of Public Health degree in Biostatistics and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Studies.
