Dr. Vineetha Menon Pharm.D, Ph.D earned her Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, India, in 2009. Subsequently, she obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Philosophy (Pharmacy Practice) from JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, India, in 2014 and 2020, respectively. To further enhance my knowledge of drug and patient safety, she completed a postgraduate diploma program in pharmacovigilance
She have over seven years of experience in academia. In February 2018, she joined the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the School of Pharmacy, Monash University, Malaysia, as a lecturer. Prior to this, she worked as a teaching assistant for postgraduate and undergraduate pharmacy students at JSS University, India, for two years. Alongside, she have worked for two years as a clinical research coordinator in a phase III clinical trial conducted by Cadila Pharmaceuticals. Her clinical experience includes serving as a clinical pharmacist, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and guiding pharmacy students during their clinical placements. Moreover, she have previously worked as a registered pharmacist at a multi-specialty hospital in India. In addition to teaching, she is actively involved in research, primarily focusing on patient medication management and drug safety, drug use evaluation, medication adherence, quality of life assessment, pharmacovigilance, and pharmacoeconomics. Currently, she is employed as an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Gulf Medical University, UAE.
Overall, she have more than eight years of experience in academia, administration, clinical practice, research, and medical trials, with a strong foundation in applied therapeutics, clinical pharmacology and toxicology, clinical pharmacy, pharmacovigilance and drug safety, clinical research, as well as pharmacoeconomics and outcome research.
