Madlen Gazarian, MBBS (Hons1), MSc(ClinEpi), FRACP is a Consultant Physician and Honorary Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. She is an Australian and Canadian trained specialist academic physician with a unique mix of cross-disciplinary scientific and clinical expertise and experience in medicines research and education, medicines evaluation, therapeutics practice, medicines policy and related advocacy, especially for underserved populations, such as paediatrics. Her specialist qualifications include Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services Research, Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacovigilance and Paediatric Medicine.

She brings diverse multi-sector experience, insights and perspectives to provide specialised expertise and leadership in medicines and therapeutics issues to a wide range of Australian and international partnerships (health service, academia, government, NGO, and industry), with significant impacts on medicines policy, practice and research (general and paediatric). Her work focuses on innovative and collaborative approaches to improving the development and appropriate use of medicines and delivering evidence-informed health care, health policy and effective policy translation generally.
