As the Sr. Director of the Safety and Epidemiology team at Carelon Research, Dr. Beachler oversees the execution of pharmacoepidemiology, risk management, and medical product safety studies for a portfolio of industry, academic, and government clients. Dr. Beachler has experience conducting validation studies and utilizing predictive modeling and machine learning methods to develop claims-based algorithms to improve cohort and outcome classification. He has scientific oversight of drug safety studies including post authorization safety studies (PASS), Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS), post-market requirement (PMR) studies. Prior to joining Carelon Research, Dr. Beachler was a Cancer Prevention Fellow at the National Cancer Institute, Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics. He holds a MHS and PhD in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and a BS in Bioengineering from The Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Beachler has published dozens of manuscripts in the peer-reviewed medical literature. He has presented his work at scientific meetings and to regulatory authorities worldwide.
