Nivantha has over 12 years’ experience in the hospital and healthcare industry. She is a qualified medical doctor specialized in primary emergency care and a published epidemiologist and research methodologist.
Nivantha’s expertise is applied epidemiology, leading the design of multinational real-world research projects. She has experience with a variety of study designs and diverse methods. She is therapeutic area (TA) agnostic and leverages her clinical background for any therapeutic domain across a global geographic scope although, she does have specific expertise in rare diseases, cancer and pregnancy. Nivantha also has experience with the design and conduct of applied evidence synthesis and has performed systematic quantitative and qualitative evidence reviews including methodological reviews. She contributed to the Covid-NMA “Living” Evidence Synthesis initiative. Nivantha also has expertise on RCT methodology including pragmatic design, and trial recruitment/retention research. An ardent patient and research participant advocate, she conceptualized Research Burden, i.e., the burden experienced by patients as RCT participants.
Nivantha is currently focused on leveraging her meta-research and methodological expertise for consulting on RWD analytics/RWE generation strategies towards interconnected, scalable data and evidence ecosystems.
